Well, I've gone 'off coffee' before and just didn't see the point of staying off it! I took a bag of ground "Italian Roast" to Beijing since we had pre-arranged to have a coffee pot available in Nanjing. But in Beijing, I had to make coffee using one of those air filtration face masks, and I have pics to show of it. Worked well.

I agree Holley. I've always thought the color would look great on the walls in my house but couldn't figure out how they would get it under their machine to analyze and make a paint color. Actually the color I like the best is the foam on top of espresso!

Coffee is a multi-sensory experience... Its aroma calls from the bag, the grinder, the brew stage. It warms the hands as they wrap around the cup. It tastes good with just enough half and half to make it a deep, beautiful caramel color.

My wife asked why 'my' coffee is a 'he' versus a 'she'. Not sure, but the phrase Mr. Coffee had something to do with it. But even if I hadn't made that reference, coffee seems to me to be a male character in my life. Though, as I think of it, I was going to say "I would never wrap my hands around a hot cup of coffee if it were a she," but the realized that wasn't really true and the reverse bothers me quite a bit. Ok, so maybe now my coffee will be referred to as female. Thanks a lot, Anita! :)

You sir, have a beautiful way with words. They brought tears to my eyes. I would write more, but my coffee is ready now...and we have a date!

I like coffee because, at my age, it's one of the few remaining vices I can handle.
